Downtown Sauk City
Sauk City has developed Downtown Design Guidelines, and is working on a matching grant program for façade and sign improvements downtown. Sauk City is also working on a comprehensive plan for downtown, that will address issues such as parking. John Flad recently developed a Walgreens location on Hwy 12, that was added to the downtown TIF district. This will provide additional funds for downtown improvements.

The North Ridge Business Park will be located just north of Prairie du Sac on the east side of Hwy 78 and offer incredible views of Lake Wisconsin and the Wisconsin River. The park is looking forward to a Spring 2009 ground breaking with Culver Franchising System Inc. as its anchor.

The Prairie du Sac Library was recently gifted the Culver Franchising Sytem, Inc. building by Craig and Lea Culver. The new library will be know as the Ruth Culver Community Library and is expected to open in 2010.
Rails to Trails Expansion
Expansion of hiking, biking and walking trails within villages with connections to regional trails thruough Devils Head, Madison and Reedsburg is under consideration The Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce has assumed the role of lead agency for this effort..
Sauk Boys Building
This multiuse building has retail overlooks the Wisconsin River, and is located just south of Hwy 12 and Water Street.
Sauk City Office Park
The Village of Sauk City is developing an Office Park on a 29 acre parcel located at the corner of River and Leuders Roads. They currently are working with a local attorney to locate a Green Office Building at this location. The first phase of the Office Park will be completed summer of 2008.
Sauk Prairie School District Referendum
Should the Sauk Prairie School District issue bonds worth $2.2 million to purchase 40 acres of land north of Sauk Prairie Road between Highway 12 and Lueders Road for future construction?
