Free Congregation of Sauk County Ribbon Cutting

Friends and members of the Free Congregation of Sauk County gathered on Saturday, June 25th to celebrate the reconstruction, ribbon cutting, and reopening of Park Hall in Sauk City.

Sauk City native, Alfred Claus, designed this meeting hall in 1884, as a memorial and landmark to German immigrants who sought political and religious freedom, and members found that with the establishment of the Free Congregation of Sauk County. Today, Park Hall enjoys national, state and country historic site status, and continues to serve the purpose for which it was built: a meeting place for free thinkers.
