Author Mike O'Connor
Did you know the nation’s top fighter pilot of World War II was from Wisconsin? Mike O’Connor, author of the book Ace of Aces, will discuss the life of United States Army Air Forces pilot Major Richard Bong at the Ruth Culver Community Library Tuesday, June 2 at 6:30pm. Major Bong was credited with shooting down 40 Japanese aircraft and earned the Congressional Medal of Honor and the Distinguished Service Cross and was one of the most decorated pilots of the war. The author will have books for purchase after the presentation.
