    Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 761.

    This is a salaried exempt position on 1st shift with a relatively flexible schedule.

    Summary – Plans, directs, coordinates and supports manufacturing processes.

    • Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods.
    • Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow and design of equipment and workspace for efficiency.
    • Implements, programs and supports CNC and/or PLC controlled machine tools, assembly machines and robotics.
    • Troubleshoots problems with all manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment.
    • Confers with product design and engineering to help specify product design aspects that facilitate manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
    • Estimates production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions such as justification of new equipment and processes.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    • Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/mechanical/industrial related engineering field; or 5 years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.  Ability effectively communicate and present information with groups of managers, clients and customers.
    • Mathematical Skills – Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Understand and apply algebra, geometry and trigonometry in 3D space.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
    • Reasoning Ability – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
    • Computer Skills – Knowledge of and proficiency with CAD/CAM and Microsoft software.
