    Title: Massage Therapist
    FTE:  0.625 (25 hours/week)
    Schedule: Monday & Tuesday 12:30pm - 8:00pm, Thursday 9:00am - 3:30pm, Friday 9:00am - 2:30pm
    Holiday Rotation:  N/A
    Weekend Rotation: One Saturday morning shift/month
    On Call Requirements: N/A
    The massage therapist will provide the highest quality of care to clients, based on the educational qualifications of the therapist.  Manipulates bodily tissues manually for the purpose of affecting the muscular and nervous systems and the general circulation of the body by performing the following duties.


    • Maintains a clean, wholesome atmosphere for clients.
    • Completes a consent form for the protection of both the therapist and the client.  Respects the client’s right to refuse or to terminate the therapy session and respects the boundaries and integrity of each person by not engaging in any sexual conduct or activities, even if the client attempts to sexualize the relationship.
    • Does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, religion or creed.
    • Is aware of and informs potential clients of the limitations and possible contraindications involved in massage therapy.
    • Respects the privacy of the client by providing adequate professional draping.
    • Keeps clear, concise records of all visits and respects and safeguards client information unless required to release it to qualified personnel by court order or by written release from said client.
    • Applies the techniques of scientific massage to assist in the recovery of sprains, strains, fractures, and dislocations, as well as to help reduce or eliminate pain from chronic conditions.
    • Applies massage to assist in the relief of various forms of myofascial conditions, muscle spasms and migraine headaches.
    • Applies massage to stimulate the improvement of capillary, venous, arterial and lymphatic circulation.
    • Works with various agents to complement massage, including application of heat, hydrotherapy, exercise, and aromatherapy.
    • Does not diagnose, prescribe, or claim to treat a specific condition.  Interacts in a professional manner with other Health Care Practitioners and refers clients to appropriate Health Care Professionals when needed.

    • Required: Current Wisconsin Massage & Bodywork license
