POSITION SPECIFICS
Title: Non Invasive Cardiac Technician
FTE: 0.7 FTE (28 hours/week)
Schedule: Variable weekday shifts
Holiday Rotation: N/A

POSITION SUMMARY
The Non Invasive Cardiac Technician performs a variety of clinical and clerical duties. Duties would include the performance of cardiac stress testing, performs EKG’s, Holter and Event monitoring hook-up, file room responsibilities and department receptionist and secretarial duties.
POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform cardiac stress tests.
- Hook-up Holter and Cardiac Event Monitors
- Perform both inpatient and outpatient electrocardiograms
- Perform the duties of Medical Imaging Health Information Clerk which includes the following:
- Retrieve patient exam reports from Meditech and images from PACS.
- Make CD’s and DVD’s of patient exams at the request of other departments, hospitals and clinics.
- Digitize films of patient exams into PACS.
- Transfer patient exams from CD’s and DVD’s from other facilities into PACS.
- Pull patient comparison studies for the next day’s schedule.
- Pull patient exams for daily surgical cases.
- Ready and mail patient exams at the request of attorney’s offices.
- Purge patient exams per department policy.
- Perform the duties of the department receptionist/secretary.
- Promote and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: None
Experience
- Required: Six months to one-year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Unit Clerk.

Certification(s):
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire
- Preferred: None
