2nd Shift Junior Assembler Trainee
Summary Set up and operate assembly machines to produce various size and types of valves, using tools and fixtures. Occasional material handling and stocking of components at machine being operated.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following.
1. Operation of hand or bench type power tools.
2. Operation of air and hydro testers.
3. Set up and tear down for job changeovers without assistance.
4. Must be able to disassemble and repair product.
5. Minor material handling and stocking required.
6. Use of hoist and other lifting equipment.
7. Using minor adjustments to insure free action of moving parts.
8. Maintain cleanliness in a prescribed manner.
9. Work is subject to final inspection.
10. Requires completion of orientation period and no less than 1 above average review.
Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
