Tabor Saw Operator Trainee
Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 3rd Shift Tabor Saw Operator Trainee to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 500. This position starts at $17.51 per hour. Summary The Tabor Saw Operator Trainee is responsible for rough sawing of castings. Sawing gates, fins, parting lines, pockets and castings on a stationary stand tabor saw or hand held sawing stations as required. Saw castings as per instructions from supervisor. Also, maintain quality specified by supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following.
1. Sawing gates and flashing neatly and at the established rates.
2. Changing and dressing grind wheels.
3. Must be able to count and record accurate counts.
4. Must be able to do repeated lifting up to 30 pounds unassisted.
5. Requires good manual dexterity.
6. Good hand eye coordination.
7. Maintain cleanliness of work area in prescribed manner.
Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
