Community Planning Intern
The Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a qualified individual to fill an 12-week planning internship focused on research, data collection, projections, analysis, and writing in support of school district and community planning. In addition, the intern will complete miscellaneous planning and administrative support functions, and other efforts based on workload, aptitude, and interests.
Applicants should be skilled in research, quantitative analysis, written communication, MS Word and Excel, organizing time efficiently, and working independently. Time Management, communication, ability to meet deadlines, accuracy, comfort and proficiency with statistics, map interpretation, and attention to detail are critical. A student currently seeking an MS in Urban Planning is the ideal candidate.
This will be a paid internship, without benefits. Expectations are for up to 24 hours per week and the schedule is flexible, but some availability during "office hours" is expected. The intern will be expected to complete assignments working in their own space, with regular meetings and consultations with staff and municipal leadership. The start and end date are flexible depending on the interns commitments.
