            Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 2nd Shift Material Handler to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team. This position starts at $16.47 per hour. Established in 1901, Milwaukee Valve manufactures valves for a variety of industries including Industrial, Commercial, Fire Protection, Marine and the dry bulk hauling industries.     Summary: The Material Handler I will be responsible for the safe operation of material handling equipment, the transporting of various materials and containers that will be in a variety of sizes, shapes, weights, conditions and degree of difficulty for transporting. Individual will demonstrate accuracy in work, record keeping, transactions, data collection, data entry, product identification, and the proper use of computer systems and programs. Individual will maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
                Other primary responsibilities may include but not limited to the operation of: Parts Washers, Chip Processing, Production Saw, Floor Scrubber/Sweeper and other processing equipment.
     
    The use of scales, hoist, mobile stairs and working at heights may be required.
     
    Individual will also be responsible for instructing others in these skills.

    10. Demonstrates blue print reading.
     
    11. Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
     
    12. Individual will be able to work independently with little direction or supervision.
     
    13. Maintaining cleanliness of work area and equipment in a prescribed manner.
     
    14. Required to work scheduled annual inventory days.
     
     
    Personal measuring and hand tools maybe required, list will be provided at time of interview, employee evaluation or upon request.
     
    All work subject to final inspection.
     
    Other duties may be assigned.

    Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
     
     
    Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively.
     
    Mathematical Skills: Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
     
    Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems that arise in standard situations.
     
    Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job..
     
    Stand or walk 100% of the shift. Frequent bending and lifting 30-40 lb. unassisted and up to 70lbs occasionally with or without assistance.
