Volunteer Board Members Needed

The mission of the Sauk Prairie Area Literacy Council (SPALC) is to empower people of all backgrounds in the Sauk Prairie Area to successfully navigate the English language at home, on the job and in their community. The board of directors supports this mission by providing strategic governance, mission-based leadership, continuous service improvement and financial stewardship. Board members actively participate in five to six regularly scheduled meetings and commit to representing SPALC in at least one community-based activity each year. Committee work offers additional opportunities to get involved and carry out the organization's strategic plan. If you are looking for a way to get involved in the Sauk Prairie community in a meaningful way we would love to talk! We continuously look for ways to diversify our board and would welcome board candidates from all ages (18+), genders, and ethnic backgrounds.

We currently have a need for the skillsets listed below, however, we encourage anyone interested in learning more about a board or committee position with SPALC to contact us:
