Prescription Assistance Nurse: Works with patients on an individual basis to obtain meds through a drug company program, a participating local pharmacy, or other resources.  Dispenses medications to patients as ordered by the provider. Provides patient instruction on medication use or storage and any needed monitoring. Follows up with patients and drug companies to assure a consistent supply to patients.  Consult with providers or medical directors as situations arise. An active WI Registered Nurse license is required.  The PAP RNs work from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p. m. The nurses determine their schedule to assure coverage of the clinic’s open hours.  The ability to work alone or with others in a busy and possibly noisy environment while maintaining attention to detail, timeliness, and completeness is essential.
