About Us

Cascade CPA began in 2007 when founders Julie Miller and Mike Kollath merge their CPA practices to form Kollath & Associates CPA. Their dream was to build a modern accounting firm built for the kind of people and clients they loved to work with. The firm grew rapidly over the years by word of mouth as demand for their team’s expertise and style spread throughout Greater Madison and the rest of Wisconsin. By 2020, the firm expanded to over 40 employees across three offices, launched five specialized service lines—Accounting, Tax, Advisory, Payroll, and HR—and began serving clients nationwide. The firm promoted its first generation leader into partnership in 2016, and in 2025, rebranded to Cascade CPA. Today, Cascade CPA continues to champion the founders’ original vision, serving as the trusted accounting partner for growing businesses, nonprofit organizations and ambitious professionals across the country.
