    Run For The Roses | 2022 Annual Awards Dinner

    And we're off to the races...
    On Monday, June 13th, 2022, we brought together 62 businesses, making up 248 attendees, for our Kentucky Derby-themed Annual Dinner. The event took place at the Dorf Haus Supper Club beginning with a cocktail party where attendees could network with one another and participate in some Kentucky Derby-style lawn games. Featured Derby Cocktails included the Blushing Rose Lily and the Mint Julep.


    Later on in the evening, 11 horses competed in the live horse race where the stakes were high and bets were placed.

    Jockey Winner Pam Wipperfurth

    In the end, Horse Cash Cash Baby, ridden by Jockey Pam Wipperfurth from Monona Bank - Sauk Prairie, won down to the wire, securing first place! Thank you to all jockeys who participated in the race.

     

    After dinner, 4 awards were presented to the well-deserving businesses of the Sauk Prairie Chamber of Commerce. The first award presented was the Dream Big Award which honors independent companies or individuals who opened a small business within the last three years, stimulating the local economy, while supporting the overall development and well-being of our community.

    The winner of this year's Dream Big Award went to Amanda Haselwander from C2 Juicery & Eats and Meyer Oak Grove Market.

     

    The Glassdoor Award honors a local business that strives to create access for all in the workplace and demonstrates a commitment to inclusion in their employment practices, programs, and community outreach.

    This year’s Glassdoor Award went to 6:8 Inc.

     

    The Corporate Steward of the Year Award honors a local business that conducts its business in a way that creates value for shareholders by delivering high-quality products and services to customers, providing a great place to work for employees, supporting the well-being and development of the community, reducing environmental footprint, and helping suppliers to deliver shared value too.

    This year’s Corporate Steward of the Year Award went to Maplewood of Sauk Prairie.

     

    The final award of the night was the Leadership Excellence Award which honors an individual who exhibits exceptional leadership qualities, and who exceeds the scope of what is expected in their organization or community.

    This year’s Leadership Excellence Award went to Tracy Thompson from RE/MAX Grand.
