Celebrating a shift in seasons: cleanse, embrace courage, and clarify intention.
A change of seasons is upon us again, and so we celebrate the lovely transition into Winter, marking the longest night and shortest day of the year, with 108 Sun Salutations. Join instructor Brian Perry for a fun and sweaty Saturday afternoon. This traditional, meditative flow will energize, cleanse and restore.
The Significance of “108”Why, do you ask, do we do 108 of them?
One explanation, is the distance to the sun is 108 times that of the earth. Some of those travels are easy and some are not. Some of the sun salutations will feel easy some will not. The journey is individual. But if we travel together, breathe together, and stay on the path together we will make it to the other side. That’s how it is in life and that’s how it will be when we partake together the ancient practice of 108 Sun Salutations to honor the great light.
