Purpose of the Meeting

Many of our local non-profits, civic groups, and Chamber partners are organizing incredible events each year — but too often they overlap, compete for the same sponsorship dollars, or fall within the same few weeks of the year. With growing demands on time and fewer volunteers, it’s more important than ever that we come together to plan smarter, not harder.

Our Goals

• Coordinate 2026 community and Chamber event calendars to minimize overlap and maximize participation.
• Explore digital promotion and shared media buying opportunities to support all events more effectively. The Chamber has dollars – Let Us Help You get the word out!
• Foster collaboration between nonprofits and businesses to reduce sponsorship fatigue while improving support.
• Discuss how the Chamber can stay relevant and support community engagement in a changing volunteer and business environment.

Meeting Format

This two-hour session will include:

• A collaborative review of current and upcoming events.
• Roundtable discussion about timing, promotion, and resource sharing.
• Strategy session on improving event visibility and participation year-round.

We ask that each organization send one or two representatives who are involved in event planning or promotion. Your insight and input are vital to building a stronger, more efficient calendar that truly serves our residents, businesses, and guests.
