The Maier family, owners of the Dorf Haus Restaurant near Sauk City, will donate 15 per cent of proceeds from the Thanksgiving Day buffet to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, according to Rebecca Maier-Frey, co-owner. The donation is to honor her mother Betty Maier, who is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Vern and Betty Maier, who opened the Dorf Haus in Roxbury 52 years ago, now own the restaurant with two of their children, Rebecca and Monte.
Thanksgiving buffet, served from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., is $16.25 for adults; $5.95 for children ages 5-l0 years old and $2 for tots four and under. Reservations at 643-3980. www.foodspot.com/dorfhaus.
