On Saturday Jun 27, 2020 we will be acknowledging and honoring the local Veterans who were scheduled to fly on one of the five Honor Flights to Washington DC this year. Due to Covid, all flights have been postponed to a future date. Operation Resilience is an effort from the “Madison Chapter of Badger Honor Flight” with assistance from our local Sauk Prairie Chapter of “Heroes for Honor” to let our Veterans know we have not forgotten them and will present each one with a gift. We will be coordinating the recognition of 15 veterans from Sauk Prairie, Baraboo, Mazomanie and Cross Plains. Our plan is to use local volunteers to form car caravans with a mini parade led by local EMS in each area. We will also use our Veteran Wagon in the caravan (that we use in local parades) with members, veterans and volunteers.
Start at 9:30 at the Westwynde park shelter in Prairie du Sac. We should return by 11:00
Will proceed to Baraboo and assemble at 12:00 at the Baraboo /EMS and Fire Station to start the caravan there. We expect to be done by 2:00 pm.
From there we will go to the Fire Station in Mazomanie for one delivery and
Then to Cross Plains for one delivery. We expect to be back to PdS by 5:00.
