More has been written in recent weeks about the employer mandate than any other aspect of the Affordable Care Act. Since the requirements and penalties of the employer mandate only pertain to "applicable large employers" (those with 50 or more employees) many of our smaller employers may be wondering if the Affordable Care Act will affect them at all. Well, it probably will.
