Enjoy a heart opening and restorative Flow and Yin Fusion class with Alyssa Ploessl, preceded by a mindful meditation and chocolate covered strawberry tasting. When we practice mindfulness, we are able to connect to the present moment rather than rehashing the past or visualizing the future. When we practice mindful eating, we use our senses of sight, touch, smell, and finally taste to fully savor and experience what we are consuming. The class will end with a second guided meditation on the subject of self-love, to create a compassionate space from which to feel without judgement.
Physical exercise, such as yoga, releases endorphins in the brain that trigger positive feelings in the body. Eating chocolate can also have the same effect! In fact, chocolate consumption not only releases endorphins, but also serotonin, oxytocin, and dopamine. These are the 4 neurotransmitters that create the feeling of happiness! No wonder we enjoy eating chocolate so much!
