VIRTUAL PURPLESTRIDE MADISON 2020 PRESENTED BY DORF HAUS IMPORTANT: MADISON PURPLESTRIDE EVENT UPDATE Due to increasing concerns regarding the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), as well as guidance from the CDC and Madison public health department, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person PurpleStride Madison event scheduled for this Saturday, May 2nd. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution and caring, and in partnership with volunteer leadership at both the local and national levels. PurpleStride is an incredible community celebration and centerpiece for the PanCAN family. However, as an organization focused on supporting pancreatic cancer patients and their extended community the health and safety of this vulnerable population, as well as that of our supporters, volunteers and staff must be our top priority. Although PurpleStride Madison will not physically take place this year, pancreatic cancer continues to affect thousands of patients and families every day, and we encourage your support today more than ever. Our mission to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients does not slow down or stop. All participants, including virtual striders, who raise $25 or more in donations (including registration fees) will receive a PurpleStride T-shirt. Your T-shirt will not be mailed to you and we will not be hosting packet pick-up — BUT you will receive one for this year’s event. We will have more information about how to obtain your T-shirt in the near future. Thank you so much for your incredible fundraising efforts. We encourage you to continue. Your registration fee will be turned into a donation to PanCAN unless you request a refund. If so, contact customer service for further details or email us at events@pancan.org.
