Workshop: Colored Pencil - Design, Drama, Detail of Nature with Rhonda Nass
Whether novice or veteran in colored pencil, discover and become proficient with a new layering technique that allows you to capture drama and detail beyond what you thought
possible with colored pencil. We’ll take a broad look at contemporary colored pencil artists, try various stroke applications, begin a unique color match strip (determining what pencils to use for specific colors within subjects) which many keep as a life-long reference tool, have plenty of one-on-one time, and design and begin a final original artwork, leaving the workshop confident in the ability to complete it with excellence.
About Rhonda Nass:
Rhonda Nass can thank her high school art teacher (who told the stubborn German teenager she could never be an artist) for launching her into the professional art world. She and her husband, Rick, have owned an illustration studio for 40+ years and she continues to create artwork for editorial and publication use as well as corporate, private, museum and gallery collections. Rhonda teaches colored pencil, graphite and acrylic workshops nationwide and has recently written/illustrated/published “SCRATCHINGS OF A MADWOMAN,” a book about faith and creatively communicating with colored pencil. You can view her work at www.rnass.com.
